Cooloola
Christian College is a P-12 school of some
370 students. The College campus is situated
in award winning landscaped grounds on the
Southside of Gympie (160km north of Brisbane).
Since its beginnings in 1992, Cooloola Christian
College has maintained its vision of supporting
families to educate their children for a Christ
centred life.
To
this end, fees are set at a modest level.
The College offers a Biblically based curriculum across a wide range of traditional subject areas. Our rigorous academic program caters for students from Prep to Year 12, with ongoing support for all students, and extra assistance for those who struggle.
Pastoral care is important to us and we aim to provide a safe learning environment where all members of the school community may thrive. Positive relationships are encouraged and our discipline policy seeks to be firm and fair.
We value each of our students as individuals and aim to support and encourage the unique God-given qualities they bring to the College.
Special programs offered at Cooloola Christian College include:
- Support Unit for those with learning difficulties;
- Independent Learning Centre to support those undertaking School Based Traineeships or enrolled in Distance Education subjects;
- Instrumental Music Program involving
over one third of all students;
- Beyond the Classroom - a program designed
to support activities that take place
outside the mainstream classroom walls,
such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Scheme, Year Group Camps and a bi-annual
overseas Ministry Trip.
